We had using EmailNotification with ClearQuest for years with great success.
After upgrade CQ to 8.0.1, it not work at all.
I downloaded emailnotificationpackagesetup.exe from cqadmin website, when run it on CQ server, it says "the application requirs IBM-Ration ClearQuest to be installed". I guess I need tell it the CQ installation path, but how?
Please advise.

Hi,

It cannot detect ClearQuest installation, but you can copy package directories from the old client manually and register them using packageutil command, for example:

Code: Select all

packageutil registerpackage UDBProperties 1.3 \
        "C:\Program Files\IBM\RationalSDLC\ClearQuest\packages\UDBProperties\1.3"

 packageutil registerpackage EmailNotification 1.6 \
        "C:\Program Files\IBM\RationalSDLC\ClearQuest\packages\EmailNotification\1.6"

Thank you so much for your help.
One more question.
I think I need a zip file for version 1.6 emailNotification, so I can unzip it and put all the files in folder 1.6
But I cannot find it on your website.
all I downloaded is one file, name is emailnotificationpackagesetup.exe .
I order the EmailNotification package 3 times, every time, just this one exe file in it.
Please advise.

Never mind my last question. I was able run the .exe file on my PC, then copy the folder 1.6 to server.
Thanks.

Hi,

Since you have been using Email Notification package for a long time, you can create a archive zip on one of the old systems, and copy it to the 8.1 machine to register it there manually, as advised.
The package is not available in a zip archive. The installation procedure will be updated, eventually, but I do not have delivery date yet.

Thank you,
Pavel
