character set issue

Postby apugazhenthy » Wed Nov 09, 2016 2:32 am

Hi Pavel,

When we are generating mail containing single quote(’) are converting into to three question marks(???), which looks very odd.

Please find the screenshots attached for your reference.

After multiple level of testing, we have found this issue is occurring only in the multi lingual keyboard containing Arabic and English. Please help us to sort out this issue.

Thanks&Regards,
Pugazhenthy A

Hello,

Unfortunately, screenshot would not help in troubleshooting. You can check content of the message in the email notification queue (en_email_message, if you use deferred or queue delivery modes).
Setting correct "charset" in the message header, or filtering message content with user defined function should help.

Thank you,
Pavel

Dear Pavel,

Thanks for the update.

Could you please let me know which character set should i have to use for multi lingual keyboard containing Arabic and English or to support any language.

Currently i am using "us-ascii".

Best Regards,
Pugazhenthy A

You can try to use
Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8
